me and a friend in Costa Rica

Hola. I am responsible for all of this. I compiled the information/silliness and took the photos (except where otherwise noted). In spite of my innate bashfulness, I finally put my face on the site (people have asked for this, God knows why). But you’ll have to guess which one is me.

I’m a writer, photographer, designer, entrepreneur, travel junkie, and professional dabbler. I started Casita de las Flores from scratch in 2002, and then ran it pretty much by myself for 7 years—24/7, no breaks. Now, I finally get to travel a bit, so please do not be offended if I don’t make an appearance during your stay. I promise you will be well taken care of by Flor, my bilingual right hand lady, and our wonderful staff.

No matter where I am, I’m still hovering over the Casita— like a fairy travel godmother — making sure that things run smoothly and fervently hoping you’ll enjoy your stay. You can always reach me at CasitadelasFlores(at)me.com if you need anything. (Especially if you want to send lavish praise. : )

And please, always remember that we really do care about you having a great stay with us, so please give us a chance to solve any problems you may encounter while you’re here, before giving us a bad review. (If we ignore you, you can totally trash us.)

Good reviews on TripAdvisor are truly, madly, deeply appreciated.

Wishing you happy travels and many adventures!

xo,

françoise

I sent an enquiry to you about booking earlier today, but since then have spent hours reading and re-reading your incredible web site. I am enthralled and hope to make your casita our home away from home in September, while we visit for a while after my daughter’s wedding. I have sent your web site to our fellow travellers and also to my daughter who lives in Mexico city, is marrying a Mexican and, (good gracious) they want to spend their honeymoon time seeing San Miguel with US, their family. How crazy is that? So it seems that your “little bit crazy” casita would be a perfect fit for us. In addition to the six of us wishing accomodation, the honeymooners may just decide to book the same place rather than, say, just down the road. Who knows! Sooo looking foward to returning to Mexico and seeing your area, new to us. best wishes, Linda

Hi There Linda. Sorry for the delay! I was out of town and Flor doesn’t handle these comments. I’m so glad you like the site and i dearly hope you are staying with us. You sound like ideal Casita people. Congrats on your daughter’s wedding! Hope it’s fabuloso. Hasta pronto, Francoise
